I mark papers - children under 12 writing each year about Scott - I do hope they watch The Frozen Planet, it is a truly wonderful program, takes my breath away its so awe inspiring.

The link to the films has a problem?
Error message saying..
"Firefox can't find the server at mailhost.mcmurdo.usap.gov"
Any clues? Or maybe an issue on my end of things?

Don't worry, there is no way the film will be abandoned.
I have shown a few people down here the rough cut I have, lots of very positive reactions, some people became quite emotional.
Just a matter of time to get through the final post production process when I get off the Ice in February.

Great photographs as usual!

I'm rather upset that the Year On Ice movie isn't out yet, it was supposed to be out a long, long time ago (as per YOUR original plans). Somehow I feel like it will never be released and will be one of those "abandoned" projects.

Anyway, always good to see something from "Frozen South".

WOW. What an undertaking!!!!! I'm so glad that you're doing this. Being a semi professional arctic photographer myself and a time-lapser I am getting to live vicariously through you. I have done most of my work in the Northwest Territories and Northern Ontario Canada. I'm absolutely inspired with your work. I can also understand the frustrations of working in the extreme cold and doing time-lapse out in the elements. I'm really looking forward to seeing your work. Thank you for bringing this magical world to all of us who can't get down there to see it for ourselves.
